Who we are

Heffernan Tyres is a tyre and vehicle servicing business in Co. Kildare. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" means Heffernan Tyres. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at sales@heffernantyres.com.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on our website: your name, email address, phone number and your message, plus any vehicle details you choose to give us, such as your registration, make, model or tyre size.

When you email or call us: your contact details and what you tell us.

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies on this website.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, to give you quotes, to book in your vehicle, to carry out the work you ask for, and to follow up with you about it. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to and following up on enquiries, and on taking steps at your request before entering a contract. If you become a customer, we also process data to carry out the work and to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting and management, email and phone service providers. They can only use it to provide their service to us. Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them for the reasons above, including following up on your enquiry and keeping records of work we've done for you. Some records, such as invoices, must be kept for at least 6 years for tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, email sales@heffernantyres.com and we'll reply within one month. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.
